How the Genting Dream Sails from Singapore

The Genting Dream sails round-trip from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) on a rotating weekly schedule. Each week she runs a different mix of short and longer itineraries, so you can pick anything from a 2-night weekend escape to a 4–5-night island voyage. All sailings begin and end at the same Singapore terminal.

There are four core itineraries on the 2026–2027 brochure: a 2-night Weekend Getaway (Cruise to Nowhere) sailing every Friday, a 2-night Melaka sailing, a 3-night Penang & Port Klang voyage on Tuesdays, and the longer Phuket sailings. Exact ports, days and times vary by departure date — the day-by-day tables below show the published timings for each route.

Why trust this page

We've sailed these exact routes — not just copied a brochure

Port times and dates come from the official 2026–2027 Genting Dream itinerary brochure, cross-checked against our own sailings. We add the things a brochure won't tell you: which port days feel rushed, when to book a tour versus go solo, and which sea day is best for the shows.

Itinerary Planning Tips

Small decisions that make a big difference to your sailing.

Match the route to your time

Only have a weekend? The 2-night Nowhere or Melaka is ideal. Want a real holiday with a beach? Choose a Phuket sailing with a sea day each way.

Mind the port hours

Some port calls are short. In Penang you have a full day, but Port Klang time goes fast once you factor the 1.5hr drive to KL — plan that trip carefully.

Book peak dates early

School holidays and festive Fridays (highlighted in coral above) sell out first and price highest. Book 3–6 months ahead, or sail shoulder dates for better value.

Tours: book ahead vs solo

Melaka and Penang are easy to explore on your own. For Phuket island tours and KL day trips, pre-book to guarantee you're back before all-aboard time.

Don't forget your passport

Even round-trip Singapore sailings require a passport valid 6+ months. Check visa needs for the countries your itinerary visits.

Watch the weekly price

Fares move week to week. We track them — if your date dips, we'll tell you. Message us your target sailing and we'll flag the best window to book.

Itinerary questions

Genting Dream Itinerary FAQs

The most common questions about routes, dates and ports.

What is the full Genting Dream itinerary from Singapore?+
The Genting Dream sails four core itineraries round-trip from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore: a 2-night Cruise to Nowhere (Fridays), a 2-night Melaka getaway, a 3-night Penang & Port Klang (KL) voyage (Tuesdays), and 3–4-night Phuket sailings on select dates. Ports, days and times vary by departure — see the day-by-day tables above.
What time does the Genting Dream depart and return in Singapore?+
It varies by itinerary. The 2-night Friday Cruise to Nowhere typically departs Singapore at 8:00pm and returns Sunday around 2:00pm. The 3-night Penang & Port Klang sailing departs Tuesday around 1:00pm and returns Friday at 2:00pm. Always check the exact time on your confirmed sailing.
How many ports does each Genting Dream itinerary visit?+
The Cruise to Nowhere visits no ports (all sea days). The Melaka itinerary visits one port. The Penang & Port Klang itinerary visits two ports. The Phuket itinerary visits one port with one or two sea days, depending on whether it's a 3 or 4-night sailing.
Can the Genting Dream itinerary change after I book?+
Yes. Cruise lines reserve the right to change ports, times or the order of stops due to weather, operational or safety reasons. Some Phuket sailings tender at Patong Bay instead of the Deep Sea Port, and some Melaka sailings run a Sunday–Wednesday pattern. We'll always confirm your sailing's published schedule before you book.
Which Genting Dream itinerary is best for first-time cruisers?+
The 2-night Cruise to Nowhere is the easiest introduction — it's short, affordable, and lets you experience the whole ship without the logistics of getting off at ports. If you'd like a taste of a destination too, the 2-night Melaka sailing is a great next step.
Where can I download the Genting Dream itinerary PDF?+
You can download our Genting Dream 2026–2027 itinerary brochure using the Download PDF button near the top of this page. It includes the full sailing schedule and port times for every route.
